Ink Refil

If you want the cheapest possible method of replenishing your printer’s ink then an ink refill kit is the way to achieve this. Most consumers will follow the manufacturer’s recommendations and buy complete replacement cartridges when their old ones run out of ink, while this is the easiest way to replace the ink it is the most expensive.

There are a number of third-party companies who offer ink refill kits that allow you in inject fresh ink into the empty cartridge, this is cheaper because you are only buying the ink and not the complex cartridge. Many printer manufacturers include a microchip on their ink cartridges to monitor the ink levels and report this information to the printer, this makes the process of ink refill more complicated as this microchip needs resetting so the printer can see that there is ink in the cartridge. Special chip resetting tools are available to the consumer to achieve this.

The process of refilling an ink cartridge is far more time consuming than simply swapping out the empty one for a new sealed unit, requiring the careful injecting of the ink into the cartridge. The payoff for this extra effort is a huge saving over the price of replacement cartridges, ink refill is a far more economic approach to keeping your printers filled with ink and operating effectively for your business.

Some manufacturer’s cartridges are easier to refill than others, with some requiring a chip-resetting tool while others can simply be refilled and put straight back into the printer with it ready to use.
